Cushioning Performance of the Biomimetic Cobweb Cushioning Silicone Pad

At present, the packing method of “plastic bag–buffer packing–packing paper box” is adopted for bearing packaging. However, common has a poor effect and versatility. In this study, new biomimetic cobweb cushion proposed to solve problem insufficient cushioning capacity high-precision packaging pads. First, according nature form, structure configuration determined. Next, based on relationship between parameters radial thread spiral thread, mechanical target optimization model established. The stress nephogram are analyzed under three drop heights 381, 610, 700 mm, in finite element simulation software ensure that maximum bearings not beyond material yield strength. Via 3D printing technology, shell cast made. Drop tests were performed, results verified with analysis. This research can provide technical support protection from accidental drops during transportation.
